S/S 2011 Make-up Trends

The Neon Lip. Bright lips have been around for a long time, just no ones taken interest, until this spring and also leading into summer - it will be the key trend.
To achieve this look;
Outline lips with a lip pencil which matches the lipstick perfectly! this gives a bow shape to the top lip and outlines around, it will also stop colour bleeding. Using a lip brush would make it easier to apply, then keep building the colour up until you have an intense, matte finish.
Keep the rest of your make-up minimal as you want to keep the focus on your bright lips.

The Metallic Eye
After the craze about the Smokey Eye it is now even more dramatic with metallic colours. Rich metal shades such as pewter, gold and olive green will match all skin tones, this trend will open up the eyes and make a clear complextion.
To acheive this look; Choose a metal shade that works well with your skin tone, then cover the whole lid with your chosen colour and into the corners of your eyes, after extend it under your lower lashers if you want a more dramatic look.

The Bronze Tan
Summer means SHIMMER, this is the time of the year to glow and bronze yourself up! This season stick to chocolate and caramel shades.
To achieve this look;
Line your eyes inside and out with a darker colour that your bronzer, this is to make a rich flattering summer look that doesnt include black. Blend in a golden shadow over the eyelid and a little underneath the lashes, to make the eyes draw out more add a wing on the outter corner of your eye using the same shadow.
Use a matte bronzer that will blend out and buff onto your cheekbones, this will make a healthy glow.
A nude lip pencil around the lips will define the shape to seperate the bronze colours, then using a toffee gloss to match will plump up your lips.

The Pastel Eye
Matte chalky pastels are the colour trend for this season, it makes the skin look fresh but will make you look a little paler, as this is a daring look.

To achieve this look;
Choose a pastel shade that suits your skin tone. Milky tones are the colours you want as it has a fresh and modern look. Ice blue, lemon, pale pink and mint green are the sort of options which will suit best. Cover the whole lid with the shadow and let it fade out toward the outter corner and use circular motions in the inner corner of the eyes.
Lips need a hint of colour to not let your look become too washed out, so a hint of pale but warm lipstick will add the perfect touch, also try a rose blush on the cheek bones but only very light.

Hope this gave you all some ideas of the latest trends, stay updated for more posts.
